Mariam Nouh is a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at KACST and MIT. She holds a Master degree in Information Systems Security from Concordia University, Montreal Canada, and a Bachelor degree from King Saud University College of Computer and Information Sciences in Information Technology, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Before joining CCES, Mariam worked as an Information System Security Analyst at Riyadh Bank in Saudi Arabia.
During her bachelor degree she worked in the area of speech recognition and has developed an Arabic dictation system as part of her graduation project. In her master she worked on an NSERC-funded initiative on model-based security in collaboration with Ericsson Canada. Her work led to several international publications in high quality venues, including book chapters and conference papers published by Springer.
At CCES Mariam is taking part of two projects: The Integrated Energy Decision Support System (IEDSS) project and the Cyber Security Initiative (CSI) project. Her work in IEDSS involves investigating approaches to design and architect a web-based decision support system that facilitates a collaborative decision-making process between multiple stakeholders. In CSI project, her work includes researching topics related to data privacy and network security.
Mariam’s research interests include information security, software and network security, data privacy, software engineering, big data analysis, data mining, and social networks analysis.
