This project will develop a Labor Market Decision Support System (LMDSS) as an integrated and powerful modeling environment that can analyze the present situation regarding the labor market dynamics for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and predict future trends. This world enhance the capabilities of the Ministry of Labor in assessing the reviewing how successful current and future labor market programs (LMPs) such as Nitaqat and Hafiz are in achieving the objectives of the Saudi Employment Strategy (SES).

By utilizing the information provided by the Labor Market Observatory (LMO), and through the assessment of what can be achieved by the implementation of the various LMPs available, the LMDSS aims to define future options of policies and measures for the Ministry of Labor and other key Labor Market Stakeholders (LMSs), as well as examine the implications of achieving their targets on the Saudi economy.

The LMDSS will be a tool that can address a wide range of labor market issues in a systematic and integrated way. Advances in system dynamics models, simulation, multi-objective optimization algorithms, stakeholder network value analysis, econometric models, geographic information systems (GIS) and visualization and decision analysis mechanisms will enable the development of an interactive decision support system to support the planning and management of the nationalization of the Saudi labor market.
