Jumana joined the Center for Complex Engineering Systems at MIT and KACST as a research specialist. Since she joined in 2011, she has been working on the Integrated Energy Decision Support System (IEDSS) project. Within IEDSS Jumana has been researching requirements engineering and working on the energy Stakeholder Value Network Analysis (SVNA). As part of the software engineering team, Jumana has also been working on the Web Real Time Communication (webRTC) and investigating different user interfaces and negotiation tools to support the decision process.

Prior to joining CCES, Jumana worked as a 3D animator and modeler in the Multimedia Excellence Center (a collaboration between KACST and the Japanese Index Holdings for 3D animation and games) for 24 months. The goal of this project was to raise awareness of technologies in the fields of Energy, Nanotechnology, Robotics etc. Jumana is also an active member in the IT community. As an undergrad at King Saud University she co-founded the first IT group that supports women in science and technology.
 
Jumana's interests include Information Systems, Requirements Engineering, Gamification, User Experience, Systems Thinking and Information Privacy.
