Jonars Spielberg is a Research Assistant at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Michigan State University, and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Environmental Policy from Boston University. His background is in interdisciplinary approaches to understanding global governance, politics and policy making, and sustainable development. At CCES, he is providing broad support to the Labor Market Decision Support System (LMDSS) project.
Prior to CCES, Jonars was a Graduate Fellow at Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future, where he researched strategies for providing clean water and sanitation to poor urban communities in Asia. His research interests include modeling human-environment systems, urban governance, public policy, and international development.
