Carter Wang is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Transportation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include the use of applied mathematics and operations research in studying transportation systems and is currently focused on statistical modeling of congestion patterns. Prior to working with Professor Carolina Osorio, he worked on projects dealing with network propagation and clique-finding algorithms. He also worked on the I-Slate project at Nanyang Technical Institute in Singapore. He graduated from Rice University in the spring of 2011 with a degree in Computation and Applied Mathematics and additional coursework in civil engineering and economics.
