Abdulelah Habib

Abdulelah Habib is a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at KACST and MIT. Abdulelah graduated with honors from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) with a B.Sc in control and instrumentation system engineering in 2010. He then received an M.Sc in electrical engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2012 where he specialized in Signal Processing and Communication as well as Renewable Energy. Prior to that, Abdulelah worked as a field engineer trainee under the artificial lift group with Baker Hughes in Saudi Arabia.



Since joining CCES, Abdulelah has been working on the Integrated Energy Decision Support System (IEDSS) project. He is part of the Scenarios and Modeling Team and is in charge of developing the system dynamics and mathematical models for renewable energies in the Kingdom. He also contributes to IEDSS data analysis and visualization. 



Abdulelah's research interests include renewable energy, modern controls application, and mathematical modeling for renewable energies. He is a nature adventure seeker and scuba diver certified. He enjoys all kinds of sports including soccer, basketball and beach volleyball.
